Here are the 3 main reasons we would consider a brand restricted and include it on our list:
1. The brand is restricted from all Amazon 3rd party sellers. There are brands that are completely restricted from any seller listing them on Amazon, besides the brand owner or Amazon directly. If you were to try and list these brands on Amazon, you would see a note that you can not sell the product and would not be given the opportunity to request approval for the product at all.
2. The brand is restricted from unapproved sellers. This means the brand shows being restricted, but you are given the opportunity to request approval to sell the brand. Sometimes you have to provide invoices from an approved wholesaler, and sometimes you can be automatically approved to sell the brand based on your seller performance history
3. The brand files IP Complaints against the sellers. Sometimes a brand can technically be listed on your Amazon account, meaning it isn't ‘restricted', but we don't recommend listing the brand because they will file IP complaints about you.
